Midwifery care is individualized care for women during pregnancy and birth and postpartum. Each midwife has her own birthing "wise woman ways" and her own skill levels and perspectives of normalcy of birth. Additionally, every woman has her own perspectives on birth. Her own dreams and goals and plans for her pregnancy and birth. Not every midwife will meet every womans needs so we network with many midwives to help find the perfect midwife for each woman. We feel we best serve our community when we give all options and midwifery services to every woman who then makes her choice based on her own beliefs. The relationship between a midwife and a woman extends ways beyond the 9 months of pregnancy. It can extend for years as one of the most empowering relationships a woman has had. It is often the first step into making choices for herself and being encouraged to do so. We offer a lot of education and research to every woman we meet.
